Do you need an Export License?

Not all products or destinations require a license but all companies need to know about Export Licensing.

This BIS export licensing conference over three days in Jacksonville, Florida (December 2-4, 2008) (there are three registration options) covers the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and a new rule in (published on October 2008) on Encryption Controls.

The Seminar will help you:

explain about applying for an Export License
describe an Export Compliance Management Program

The specialized third day (optional) covers encryption software:
how does the >64-bit provision for "mass market" affect you
license exception provisions for source code
applicability of exception provisions for U.S. subsidiaries, incorporating foreign components.

The instructors are experienced export policy specialists, licensing officers, engineers, and enforcement personnel from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). The instructors will be available throughout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations affect the export activities of your organization or client.
