ACTA DE ESCRUTINIO Y DECLARATORIA FINAL DE LA ELECCIÓN DE LA JUNTA DIRECTIVA


En la ciudad de Miami, a los diez y siete días del mes de Noviembre del año 2008, siendo las 6 de la tarde (6:00 p.m.) se reunieron, en el Hotel Hyatt of Coral Gables, los miembros y afiliados de la institución para dar comienzo a la elección de Junta Directiva de esta entidad correspondiente al periodo 2009. La asamblea tuvo inicio con el reporte de presidencia a cargo del Presidente Ricardo Tribin, seguido por el reporte financiero presentado por el tesorero Camilo Patiño todo esto bajo la moderación de la directora Ejecutiva Carolina Coulson.

Las elecciones realizadas entre los miembros de la Institución transcurrieron normalmente, realizándose el escrutinio final y el conteo de votos a cargo de la Directora Ejecutiva Carolina Coulson, Ángela Roncancio y Piedad Barros, se declara que la Junta Directiva de la Cámara de Comercio Colombo Americana para el periodo 2009 queda integrada de la siguiente manera:

DESDE LA CAMARA LES CONTAMOSMENSAJE DEL PRESIDENTE DE LA CAMARA RICARDO TRIBIN

En esta asamblea de Noviembre 17 de 2008 culmina un periplo muy positivo de tres años al cual hemos dedicado nuestros mejores esfuerzos, no solo para sacar adelante a la Cámara de Comercio Colombo Americana de Miami, sino también para colocarla en el lugar de importancia que su posición dentro de la comunidad, amerita. Por allá a finales del 2004 y muy cerca del 2005 nuestras finanzas no andaban para nada bien. El dinero no alcanzaba ni para cubrir los gastos mas importantes, las deudas nos agobiaban, y como consecuencia no había recursos para adelantar programas.

Decidimos entonces tomar la situación por donde era y con la ayuda de dos personajes muy importantes para nuestra organización, el Comisionado Joe Martínez y el Representante Juan Carlos Zapata, logramos darle la vuelta a la situación. Nunca nuestra Cámara podrá parar de agradecer a ellos su soporte tan importante al igual que al Condado de Miami – Dade, al International Trade Consortium – ITC y a Enterprise Florida, a Proexport, al igual que a nuestros Benefactores, Afiliados y Patrocinadores.

Hoy en día y ya al finalizar mi presidencia, el panorama es completamente distinto. No solo hemos recuperado financieramente a la cámara, sino que hemos podido al legar los fondos que nos han permitido realizar muy importantes actividades. Habría que mencionarlas una a una pero para ello el espacio seria muy breve, además de que podríamos incurrir en innecesarios olvidos. Sin embargo a manera de síntesis quiero recordar que hicimos de las misiones comerciales un objetivo de alta prioridad y fue así como logramos llevar y traerlas a ciudades como Barranquilla; Medellín; Cartagena; Bogota y Pereira, todo ello enmarcado dentro de la necesidad por impulsar el comercio bilateral. Realizamos también agendas comerciales y eventos de la magnitud de Expomoda y Miami De Gusta, sin que faltaran las galas anuales.

Almuerzos - conferencia; participación en shows comerciales reuniones de Intercambio de tarjetas, actividades conjuntas con otras cámaras y entidades de comercio; promoción a los negocios nuevos y minoritarios; apoyo dado a y recibido de nuestro Consulado General de Colombia en Coral Gables, a quien con aprecio también agradecemos; charlas, entrenamientos; en fi n tantas cosas que nos faltaría espacio para seguir contándolas. Así mismo debo mencionar nuestro programa de pasantias con estudiantes de últimos semestres de Universidades Colombianas y Norteamericanas, en el que en este ultimo tuvimos la valiosa contribución de Ángela María Roncancio.

Además es muy importante mencionar el apoyo que le hemos dado, no solo a las prorrogas del ATPDA (Andean Trade Preference Act) sino también al TLC (FTA) Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Colombia y los Estados Unidos, procesos en los cuales, no solo hemos estado bien atentos sino también vigilantes todo el tiempo, además de ser coparticipes en labores de cabildeo intensas para lograr sus respectivas extensiones y avance en las negociaciones, además de alcanzar el apoyo para este efecto de diversas organizaciones.

Resulta equitativo y justo agradecer a las Juntas Directivas de estos tres años su apoyo para lograr todo lo que hasta la fecha hemos realizado, a nuestro tesorero Camilo Patiño, a nuestro Contador y Auditor Gabriel Díaz y a nuestra excelente Directora Ejecutiva, Carolina Coulson, con quien de una manera dinámica y plena de entusiasmo, le entregamos hoy a la comunidad una cámara vigorosa y sobre todo en quien la gente cree. Carolina ha sido un pilar fundamental para nuestra gestión y ha brillado con luz radiante, no solo por merito propio, sino también por la gran ruta en la que ha llevado a nuestra Cámara de Comercio Colombo Americana de Miami. This BIS export licensing conference over three days in Jacksonville, Florida (December 2-4, 2008) (there are three registration options) covers the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and a new rule in (published on October 2008) on Encryption Controls.
