What happened these past weeks?

May 31,
2016: Round Table of Tourism Professionals of Florida
|
The French-American Chamber
of Commerce of Florida (FACC), the Quebec-Florida Chamber of Commerce
and the Courrier de Floride held their annual round table of tourism
professionals in Florida, this past May 31st at the Broward County's
headquarter in Fort Lauderdale, in the presence of Mr. Letrilliart,
Consul General of France.
Among the main topics covered during the Round
Table were: the decline of Canadian tourism: consequences and
projections; the opening of American-Cuban business
relationships and the arrival of the Paris-Fort Lauderdale
flight.
A few ideas were discussed during this round
table, and one of them was the creation of a "Tourism
Committee" at the French-American Chamber of Commerce. The
development of this Committee whould bolster the tourism industry for
francophone in the state of Florida and further strengthen economics
relations between France and the U.S.

2016: L.M.C.A Committee Event: Luxury and Entrepreneurship
|
On June 1st, 2016 the FACC's
LMCA Luxury, Media, Creative Industries & Arts
Committed hosted a discussion on Luxury and Entrepreneurship.
The discussion was led by Philippe Giraud -- President of Actium, a
leading independent distributor and retailer of high end brands
in Latin America & Caribbean (Hermes retail, GUCCI retail,
L'Oreal distribution...) and moderated by Christophe Poilleux, Sales
Director for Cartier Latin America.
The event was held at the
Brasserie Azur in midtown Miami, and brought many people from the
Luxury industry together. Mr. Giraud recounted many instances where
he had been challenged in his life owning a business, and how he
overcame these challenges. He received many interesting questions
from the audience, who was very interested in his professional

FACC's Innovation Awards 2016 Winners
|
Thank you again to everyone
who participated in the FACC's Annual Innovation Gala 2016. It was
such a great success and a pleasure to see you all networking and
creating stronger bonds.
The Innovation Awards is a
contest for French-American companies based in Florida, organized by
the French-American Chamber of Commerce Florida. Each year, the
FACC awards several companies for their innovative products and/or
services that have positively impacted local communities. The
purpose of this ceremony is to celebrate, educate and connect
innovators across all industries in the Florida region.
The winners were rewarded
during our Annual Gala on May 19th and won a trophy, a two-minutes
pitch on stage, and a strong media recognition.

that much more leverage to bring Koffeed to more people. This award
will help us knock down doors that may have previously been closed.

Sisteria/ Le Griddle can manufacture large usable cooking plate in
stainless steel working with small burners. With this technology, gas
consumption can be divided by 7. One of their most famous cooking
tool is a plancha called LE GRIDDLE.

Sisteria/Le Griddle: We hope to
develop our sales over the whole territory of Florida and the entire
country.

With a strong focus on Research and Innovation, FittingBox is a
multi-award winning company. This project helps promoting French
