May 21 Juxtaposing Import
& Export Compliance

Having focused on either imports or exports
throughout our careers, many professionals ask - are the two really
so different? In this unique program, we will compare and
contrast the similarities and differences in handling everyday
import and export transactions. In particular, we will
provide examples of how you can apply and leverage your experience
and knowledge in core areas to those where you may be less familiar
(e.g., admissibility, licensing, role of the parties,
classification, valuation, correcting errors, etc.).

May 22 Warehousing
Basics Operations Layout, Design and Processes Set Up
|
Everything comes from a warehouse of some
sort. Receiving, storing, production, packaging, to shipping,
all products we touch every day start at a warehouse. Some
companies manage to get products or services out the door with some
profit. Many are so busy running the myriad of details a business
requires, that they do not see the gaps in their
efficiency. Is your business growing? Are you expanding
or consolidating your operations? One key to effectiveness is the
relative dominance of picking or storage activity. These two
warehouse functions have opposing requirements. Are you
concerned over the prices of fuel changes? What values are
gained when your company goes "Green"? Encouraging
safety practices in the warehouse environment.
