Cambian Requisitos de Permisos de Estacionamiento Para Discapacitados:  Si usted tiene un permiso azul de estacionamiento para discapacitado, usted debe estar atento a los nuevos requisitos instaurados por los legisladores de la Florida.  El Departamento de Seguridad en Carreteras y Vehículos Motorizados de la Florida implementará la nueva ley. 
                           
Comenzando el 1ro de octubre, a cualquier persona que se le ha otorgado un permiso azul de estacionamiento de discapacitado permanente tiene que renovar dicho permiso cada cuatro años y, al hacerlo, también proveer un certificado de discapacidad ejecutado dentro de los 12 meses anteriores a la solicitud del permiso.  Eso significa que todos los poseedores de un permiso azul de estacionamiento para discapacitado, por lo menos cada cuatro años y en los 12 meses antes de la fecha de vencimiento, tendrán que completar un formulario Form HSMV 83039.  Poseedores de dicho permiso no tienen que pagar un cargo por renovarlo.

Además, efectivo el 1ro de julio, si su permiso de estacionamiento de discapacitado permanente es extraviado o robado, será reemplazado solamente si los documentos requeridos para renovar son presentados.  La nueva ley no afecta los permisos de estacionamiento temporales rojos para discapacitados, ni tampoco afecta a las personas que tienen placas (silla de rueda) de discapacitados.

Bajo ley actualmente vigente en la Florida, los poseedores de un permiso de estacionamiento de discapacitado permanente tienen que renovar su permiso cada cuatro años, pero no tienen que someter un certificado de deshabilitado al renovar.  Ellos pueden renovar en nuestro sitio Web, por correo o visitando una oficina de recaudador de impuestos.

La legislación también le requiere a DHSMV recolectar llamadas reportando abuso de dichos permisos.  Las llamadas deben ser dirigidas al Centro de Servicio al Consumidor, 850-617-2000.

El permiso de estacionamiento para discapacitados, con su calcomanía de vigencia, debe ser visible por el frente y por detrás del vehículo motorizado.  Un lado del permiso debe tener el número de licencia de conducir o tarjeta de identificación estatal de su poseedor, acompañada de una advertencia que el poseedor del permiso tiene que tener dicha identificación en todo momento que use el permiso de estacionamiento de discapacitado.       

El obtener o utilizar ilegalmente un permiso puede resultar en la perdida de dicho permiso y conlleva penalidades criminales detalladas en Florida Statute 320.0848.
